PEST TREATMENT
Ants
Ants can enter the home through even the smallest crack, seeking sweet or greasy substances, water or shelter. They can nest almost anywhere in and around your home; in lawns, walls, stumps, even under foundation. Many ants leave long-lasting scent trails (pheromones), which act as an invisible guide from the nest to food and water sources. Because of the enormous size and adaptability of most ant colonies, this pest can live a relatively long lifetime, and be active in your home year around. Different kinds of ants and infestations require different treatment strategies (this is partially why home remedies and over-the-counter products fail to eliminate most ant infestations). There is typically no preparation required for ant treatment, but you will be informed otherwise if the need for preparation exists at your home. However, you should always be prepared to vacate the home for up to 4 hours after service. Your technician will inform you at the time of service if you will be required to vacate.

Cockroaches
Cockroaches can enter your home in many ways- from the exterior through vents, cracks, etc. through drain and sewer pipes, even in grocery bags and various deliveries. Your home is an ideal breeding ground for roaches. It has plenty of food, warmth, water, and shelter. In your home they Can remain active year round. Reproducing rapidly, roaches spend most of their time hidden in inaccessible areas. This means the few you actually see have likely been forced out by overcrowding, and are a possible sign of a severe infestation.

Liquid Treatment: Remove all items (dishes, glasses, utensils, foods, cleaning supplies, etc.) from cabinets and storage areas in Kitchen and Bathrooms. Removed items may be placed on table tops or beds and covered with a sheet. Arrange to have all people and pets vacated for 4 hours after treatment. Fish tanks must be covered with a towel or plastic, with pump turned of for 4 hours. Birds and reptiles must be removed from the structure.
Baiting Treatment: No preparation is necessary for baiting.

Fleas
Fleas take refuge deep within the confines of carpeting, upholstery, rugs, and pet bedding. They require blood to survive and in the absence of a pet, humans become the flea’s blood meal. Fleas can reproduce rapidly at room temperature making homes ideal year-round refuge. The flea is capable of transmitting disease to both people and pets. Fleas are naturally protected from pesticides during the egg and pupal stage, making elimination difficult. A moderate to severe infestation will likely require multiple treatments in order to effectively achieve elimination. In order to ensure the most thorough treatment possible, the customer should: vacuum all floors, especially those areas where pets spend large amounts of time (after vacuuming seal vacuum bag in a plastic bag and remove it from the house); wash all pet bedding in hot water or simply dispose of it; remove as many items from the floor surface as possible (including under beds and in closets): arrange to have pets dipped or treated the day of service, and all people/pets vacated for 4 hours after treatment fish tanks must be covered with a towel or plastic, with pump off for 4 hours; birds and reptiles must be removed.

Mice & Rats
Mice invade your home in search of food, water, warmth nesting sites and nesting materials. They can produce up to 200 offspring per pair in 4 months, and each mouse can contaminate 10 times more food than it eats. The teeth of both mice and rats grow constantly; which is why they can gnaw through most types of food containers, as well as plastic, wood and some metals. Unlike curious mice, rats are instinctively wary of traps and bait. They can transmit or introduce a number of diseases or disease-carrying parasites such as fleas, lice and ticks into the home. Mice and rats can colonize attics, burrows, under concrete and porches, or in wall/ceiling/floor voids. There is usually no preparation required for treatment of mice or rats. Your technician may point out the need for structural repairs and/or modifications, which will aid in eliminating your current infestation as well as preventing future infestations of mice and rats.
